2021 Job Announcement
The Graduate Institute of Development Studies (GIDS) at National Chengchi University seeks applications for a Tenure-Track position of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor with primary expertise in the fields of Social Development or Sustainable Development.
Successful candidate for this tenure-track position is expected to teach a variety of courses in the following fields (in Chinese and/or English) :
Graduate courses: social development, sustainable development, regional and global development, policy analysis and/ or
Undergraduate general education courses: Taiwan politics, China studies, sustainable development.
Position begins on August 1, 2021
Please submit:
1. Curriculum Vitae (indicating academic experiences, specializations, research interests, and the rank of position you apply for.)
2. Certificate of PhD degree (Those who have not received the diploma must provide proof of having passed oral exam or of approval of dissertation) and other documents that prove related academic and practical experiences. Foreign PhD diploma must be authenticated by ROC (Taiwan) Consular Office no later than May 5, 2021.
3. Official PhD transcript (not required for applicant who has the ranked associate professor or higher Certificates issued by the Ministry of Education, ROC (Taiwan) ).
4. List of publications.
5. PhD dissertation (not required for applicant who is ranked associate professor or higher) and up to five representative publications from the last 5 years.
6. Four syllabi of courses (including at least two in English) you intend to teach.
7. Two recommendation letters (not necessary for holders of university teacher certificate issued by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education; letters should be postmarked by March 1, 2021, and sent to the GIDS by registered mail.)
